The whole Harry Potter and the Sacred Text Team is busy this week running our summer camp, so we thought: what a perfect time for a throw-back episode!

This episode holds a special place in our hearts because it’s the first time Casper and Vanessa had a real revelation about the books while recording. This is the chapter where Harry, Ron, and Hermione fight the troll and where the trio first become friends. It’s an interesting moment to compare with where we are currently in Book 7.

So sit back, relax, and take a trip to yesteryear – to a time when Vanessa and Casper were still living in the dorms, Ariana was still learning how to edit, and Trump was yet to be elected. We’ll be back next week, reading Book 7, Chapter 13, The Muggle-Born Registration Commission, through the theme of Arrogance.
