Bookreporter Talks To

Hosted ByCarol Fitzgerald

“Bookreporter Talks To” is a podcast from The Book Report Network where we host in-depth conversations with authors about the books that we love. We know authors cannot travel everywhere, so we want to bring them to you, wherever YOU may be.

Alex George: The Paris Hours

In this interview, Carol shares a conversation with Alex George about his latest novel, The Paris Hours, which follows four ordinary people during one day in Paris in 1927.  The city and its lively arts scene has excitement and energy, and it forms the perfect backdrop. The book’s ending is a propulsive read as the stories of the characters collide and many threads are woven together. It’s brisk and tight. Alex is also an independent bookstore owner, the founder and director of the Unbound Book festival, and a practicing lawyer.  In a vibrant conversation, filled with tidbits of bookstore humor, writing inspirations, and stories of Alex’s time in France, Carol dives deep into The Paris Hours and lots more.
